Biography
Laura walks through life. As a child, she observed her father in his clothing workshop and danced while swaying to the melodies of her singing mother. It's decided: "I'll be a stylist!"
Very young top model here she is immersed in Haute Couture. It's time to travel, to discover ways of life, new atmospheres, to harvest materials and colors. Back home, she puts it all on the sewing table, lets go, releases the passion contained, and creates with ardor. Stopping over in Senegal, land of colors and fabrics, the creation of models becomes a real passion. She warms up the sewing machine and success is soon there! She sets up a clothing workshop which very quickly has many employees, fashion shows follow one another, large orders are won around the world.
But very quickly that was no longer enough for his enthusiasm, his creative passion. She discovers new desires: earth, terracotta. From the beginning, she accumulates on the tile layers of earth useful for her narration. His hands sculpt with precision stories of distant peoples, contemporary tales, fanciful beings who inhabit the shores of unknown seas or more simply portraits gleaned from the counters of our habits. And beautiful to the eye, the features are always erect with tenderness. No facade judgment, because she always opens the door with humor and humility.
Laura also exercises her talents in interior decoration, collaborates with architects, creates for individuals. One of its specialties: Art tiles. Once again, she has fun talking about furniture, dressing the space, materializing new territories in the habitats, courtyards and gardens with fountains.
As usual, Laura knows how to tell.
Today she draws and colors on various media, and on paper. A phantasmagorical world emerges from the observance of pareidolia discovered on the bark of tree trunks. Laura meets the people of microbes there, explores the infinitely small. She tells what the tree tells her, her story, the cries of birds and the air fragrant with the scent of flowers on the banks of the rivers, all that nature reveals to us when we know how to feel, touch, taste, hear and see. This is where the artist feeds to transmit to us the magic of creation.
